The first in a series of eight consultations across the Caribbean to identify priority Agricultural
Health and Food Safety and Fisheries needs towards the development of country action plans
to address them kicked off in Trinidad and Tobago a week ago.
The Trinidad and Tobago national consultation on the EU-funded project titled ‘Support to the
Caribbean Forum of ACP States in the Implementation of Commitments undertaken under the
Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA): Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Measures, also aimed
at increasing production and trade in agriculture and fisheries, was attended by a cross-section
of public and private sector stakeholders in Port of Spain.
